In a cozy auditorium at Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) headquarters in Makati City, around 50 employees gathered to listen and converse with two women leaders at PLDT Inc. (PLDT) and wireless unit Smart, who made important contributions inspiring change, especially during challenging times. This session marked the return of the face-to-face version of Leaders on the Go, a learning series organized by the People Group of PLDT Group.

Through this collaboration, 6D Technologies and Smart will streamline key sales and distribution processes, automate inventory management, optimize resource utilization, and enhance overall dealer operational efficiency. By leveraging 6D Technologies' Ventas, an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven Sales and Distribution Management platform, Smart aims to further elevate its operational excellence and reinforce its leadership position in the telecommunications sector, driving growth and delivering superior services to its customers.

PLDT and Smart’s social outreach arm, the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) and Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. (AKFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of TV5, joined hands to provide aid to residents affected by the recent flooding of low-lying areas in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

57-year-old Smart Facilities Management Junior Manager Efren Nicolas Fonte or “Sir Eff” attests to this. After pulling in 28 years of service, he lays witness to how PLDT Group soared to the top. As one of the pioneering members of Smart’s workforce, he feels validated when his work is recognized.

Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), the wireless arm of PLDT, lit up the University of the Philippines Diliman’s (UPD) annual UP Fair, a week-long advocacy-led music event with the theme “Paalabin ang tinig”. As platinum sponsor, Smart added spark to ignite the voice of the youth.

Smart hosted graduating students from the National University-Fairview campus to the PLDT-Smart Technology Innovation Center (TechnoLab) in Makati City, highlighting the importance of a culture of innovation, especially in the academe.
