Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) continues to celebrate the achievements of young Filipina athletes. Smart congratulates the bemedalled Smart Omega Empress, for their citation during the first Women in Sports Awards given by the Philippine Sports Commission, in celebration of Women’s Month. This recognition puts the spotlight on talented and inspiring Filipina athletes who serve as role models for future women heroes.

Smart Omega Empress team captain Mery Christine “Meraaay” Vivero receives the award on behalf of the team, which comprises of Kaye Maerylle “Keishi” Alpuerto, Rica Fatima “Amoreee” Amores, Sheen “Shinoa” Perez, and Gwyneth “Not Ayanami” Diagon.

Powered by Smart, Smart Omega Empress has represented the country and won in various local and international tournaments; finishing as champions in the recent Queen’s League S3 Qualifiers, ELG FE Tournament, Unipin Ladies Championship PH S2, Female Pro League (FEPL), Realme Cup Women’s S1, AC Esports FE League S10, ranked first at the SIBOL qualifiers selection, silver medalist in the 32^nd Southeast Asian Games in 2023, and third placer at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational.
