PLDT’s wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has officially launched its partnership with Cordova Multipurpose Cooperative (CMC) in Cebu during the coop’s 50th Annual General Assembly.

“We at Smart are glad to partner with CMC in helping improve the lives of many people. We will continue to boost the coop’s services through Smart’s digital solutions and provide more livelihood opportunities to its members,” said Vienesse Elare, Smart Community Development Officer. 

Under this partnership, Smart has onboarded CMC into Smart Infocast, a web-based text message broadcasting solution that allows the cooperative to efficiently disseminate announcement to its staff and members. The cooperative also availed of KaPartner Negosyo phones to start an e-Loading business for additional income. 

“On behalf of the CMC Management and Staff, I would like to extend my utmost gratitude to Smart for choosing us to be one of its partner cooperatives. We are also happy for their efforts in making our 50th General Assembly a success,” said Ruthie Villaflor, Internal Auditor, Cordova Multipurpose Cooperative. 

Smart also extended free treats through a raffle draw and distributed free SIM cards to the staff and members present during the event. 

This initiative supports Smart’s continuing efforts to empower communities with the help of digital technology.
