More cooperatives in Cebu have received Project Hotline kits from Smart Communications, Inc. to assist in the daily operations of their offices, enabling them to cater to concerns and inquiries immediately. The kits include free smartphones, SIM cards with load allocation for up to six months, and hotline banners.
The recent recipients of Project Hotline were Hugpong Kababayen-an sa Pajac Producers Cooperative in Lapu-Lapu City, Uling Multipurpose Cooperative in Naga City, Danao Employees Multipurpose Cooperative (DAEMCO) in the municipality of Danao, Cambinocot Multipurpose Cooperative and Cebu People’s Multipurpose Cooperative (CPMPC) in Cebu City.
Apart from the hotline kits, DAEMCO and CPMPC were also provided with COVID-19 Safety Reminders signages to help maintain the safety of their members and personnel against the coronavirus.
Project Hotline is Smart’s wireless solution that provides additional communication channels to public and private institutions, enabling immediate response to concerns and emergencies. This initiative also underscores PLDT and Smart’s commitment to help the country attain the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal No. 11 on Sustainable Cities and Communities.
