PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) have distributed over 170 relief packs in Barangay Malag-it in Pontevedra, Capiz to give assistance to residents affected by Tropical Depression Agaton last April.
“We are grateful that we were able to extend our relief efforts to more Agaton-hit communities in Panay Island. We will continue to uphold PLDT and Smart’s value of ‘malasakit’ especially during disasters and calamities,” said Ediner Tinio, AVP/Center Head for Smart Regional Customer Development West Visayas.
Following Agaton’s onslaught, PLDT and Smart activated Libreng Tawag and Libreng Charging (LT/LC) stations in Capiz to provide communications aid to affected residents.
The relief distribution was joined by the following: Smart Regional Customer Development West Visayas AVP/Center Head Ediner Tinio, Smart Area Development Manager for Panay Island Arturo Lamayo, Smart Customer Development Manager Reynold Agramonte, Daryl Bagioso, Christian Tulio and Jephie Villarosa of PD KOKS. The team will next visit Brgy. Pantalan in the Municipality of President Roxas to provide help to more Agaton victims in the town.
