PLDT and Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) have extended aid to communities severely impacted by Tropical Depression Agaton in Iloilo Province. Barangays Ilaya, Zerrudo, Ferraris, and Apologista in Sara and barangay Nabaye in Ajuy have received 600 relief packs from PLDT and Smart.

These barangays were among the severely flooded areas following the onslaught of Agaton.

“We have been challenged multiple times by calamities and disasters, and PLDT and Smart have always been ready to respond to these kinds of situations. Rest assured that we are always with the people of Iloilo even during the most difficult times,” says Smart Area Development Manager Arturo Lamayo. 



The relief operations were joined by Smart Area Development Manager Arturo Lamayo and Smart customer development managers in Panay Island, together with Regional Distibutor OneWorld and Provincial Distributor Textpower.

PLDT and Smart also activated Libreng Tawag and Libreng Charging (LTLC) stations in Capiz to provide communications aid to affected residents.
