In continued support for education in the new normal, Rotary Club West – Cagayan de Oro (RC West CDO) is donating SmartBro LTE Pocket WiFi devices to more than 200 teachers in Region 10. “We believe in Smart’s nationwide coverage. Our solid relation with Smart is anchored on the common objectives that we share,” said Clifford Roa, RC West CDO President.  
  
Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) is no stranger to the activities of RC West CDO supporting education in the new normal. This is the second time the organization has tapped Smart to be part of its Basic Education and Literacy Program, following the first distribution in Kauswagan Central School Annex last year.   
 
“Even if schools are now opening (for face-to-face classes), teachers will still need to go online for their research and administrative tasks. With or without the pandemic, the internet has become  a crucial part of their daily activities,” Roa added.  
  
Project Chairman Raymond Vasquez shared, “We realized how having a stable and better connectivity truly helps in sustaining the education of our learners. This pushed the organization to expand the project.” RC West CDO’s Almarco Brito said, “Members also hope to inspire other RC zones to bring this project in other localities, to help more educators.”  
  
Bernardo Deatras, Smart Senior Customer Development Manager, said, "With Smart’s continued network expansion all over the country, we aim to deliver faster and better connectivity for teachers and students so they can #LearnSmart in the new normal.”
