Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) has extended support to the launching of the COVID-19 pediatric vaccination of children aged 5 to 11 years old in the Municipality of Tudela in Camotes Island, Cebu. Smart has provided the children with tumblers and happy bags containing goodies to support the municipality’s goal of providing them a pleasant COVID-19 vaccination experience. 
  
“We are glad to partner with LGU Tudela to ensure a safe and comfortable vaccination for their pediatric population. We hope that these efforts from the local government help encourage parents to get their children vaccinated and take part in protecting their community,” says Marylou Gocotano, Manager, Smart Group Corporate Communications-VisMin.

It felt good seeing the happy faces of the children upon receiving the loot bags, which served as a reward for their courage to get vaccinated,” says Dr. Leah Gemma Nagsuban, Municipal Health Officer of Tudela. 
  
The municipality aims to inoculate more than 1,300 children to support the implementation of limited face-to-face classes in selected elementary schools in the town. The vaccination program commenced last March 3, 2022.  
  
PLDT and Smart have been extending assistance such as connectivity support to various vaccination drives across the country to help boost the national government’s efforts of protecting Filipinos against COVID-19.
