PLDT wireless unit, Smart Communications, Inc. has supported the Local Government of Lapu-Lapu City’s project to mount graphic decals illustrating images of Lapu-lapu’s heroism in the Kadaugan sa Mactan (Victory at Mactan) and the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines on the three pillars of Marcelo Fernan Bridge. These images are seen from the Lapu-Lapu City side.
 
A ceremonial lighting of decals has taken place with the Lapu-Lapu city local government leaders and representatives from Smart to signify the celebration of the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines and the Victory at Mactan.
