PLDT and Smart extend connectivity support to 43 municipalities in the Province of Leyte, providing PLDT Home WiFi and Smart Bro Pocket WiFi units. The distribution of LTE-A capable devices enables high-speed mobile access, as customers work and study from home in the new normal.

PLDT-Smart’s latest initiative backs the digitalization programs of Leyte’s municipalities, led by the League of Municipalities-Leyte Chapter. These programs are meant to provide improved services, uphold good governance for their constituents, and aid their education and tourism programs.

One of the initial recipients of the connectivity devices, the Municipality of Dulag, has donated the units to NASAKASECO (Nagkaurusa nga Sabangnon Katilingban Service Cooperative).   NASAKASECO manages one of Dulag’s tourism sites, the Sabang Daguitan Surf Camp.

This partnership is part of a broader PLDT-Smart program to improve services in far-flung communities, as it accelerates its network expansion across the Philippines.

Present in this photo are the following: Roy Nebrija, Ivy Calbes, Janus Asis and Patrick Chico from Smart Customer Development Department; and Hon. Mayor Mildred Que.
