[08 Jan 2019] In the interest of public safety, upon the instructions of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), we are temporarily shutting down mobile phone services of Smart, TNT and Sun in Quiapo, Manila and along the route of the Black Nazarene procession starting early morning of Wednesday, 09 January 2019.
We are also temporarily stopping the operation of some of our cell sites in parts of Pasay, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Makati, Malabon, Caloocan and Quezon City that are near the procession route.
Mobile phone services in parts of Cagayan de Oro City will also be temporarily shut down where the Black Nazarene procession will be held on Wednesday 09 January 2019.
Services will be restored as soon as we get the go-signal from the authorities. Thank you for your understanding.
