Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and Digitel Mobile Philippines, Inc. (DMPI) nearing full restoration of network services at 98% in all cities and municipalities in Central Visayas devastated by Super Typhoon Yolanda almost a month ago. Cellular coverage has been reestablished in the towns of Panitan in Capiz, Oras in Eastern Samar and La Paz, Abuyog, Dagami, Jaro, Leyte, Pastrana and Tunga in Leyte. The total percentage of working cellsites in the areas is also now up at 95% as a result of accelerated efforts and network preparedness. The companies expect full restoration in the next few days.
