The Welcome Pack is composed of a Smart Signature Paper bag and the SIM pack with your Smart Signature SIM Card. If you availed of a device, you will also receive this along with the Welcome Pack, subject to the availability of your chosen handset.

For faster processing of your postpaid applications, please make sure that you have:

  • Provided complete and accurate information in the subscriber’s application form.
  • Given correct contact information. It is advisable that you supply all possible contact information as our validation officers will be getting in touch with you to confirm the details you have provided on your application form.
  • Your quick response to the requests/queries from our officers as they will guide you throughout the application process.
  • Good credit standing with your card-issuing bank. If you decide to pay through other payment channels, make sure that you completely follow their payment instructions.

Your newly-purchased handset/device/gadget will be ready for use within 24 hours from date of delivery.

To request replacement for defective products, please visit a Smart Store within 7 days from date of delivery. Please note that the product must be in its original delivery condition and packaging, including the print out of the transaction record. USING

All Signature Plans (Signature Plans & Signature Device Plans) have the data rollover feature! How data rollover works:

  • Data rollover is only applicable to your plan’s data allocation for all apps and sites.
  • Unused data for all apps and sites will roll over to the next month
  • Unused data that rolls over to the next month is only valid until that month

FOR DATA

FOR CALLS

When you have less that 200MB left on your data allocation, you will receive a text notification stating your balance. You may already opt to avail of a Data Booster through your myPLDT Smart app.

When you have less than 5 minutes of your call allocation left, you will receive a text notification stating your balance. You may opt to avail of Call Boosters through your myPLDT Smart app.

Once your data allocation is fully consumed,

  • If you are in a non-secured website (http in the URL), you will experience hard-stop on your data usage. You will encounter a Paywall on the browser where you can avail of Data Boosters.
  • If you are in a secured website (https in the URL) or using any mobile application, you will experience hard-stop on your data usage. You will receive a text notification with the link to the Paywall where you can avail of Data Boosters.

Once call allocation is fully consumed, you will be charged with standard calling rates or P7.50 per minute on top of your bill. You may opt to avail of Call Boosters through your myPLDT Smart app.

BILLING

GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE BILLING PROCESS

We will send your bill to your assigned email address 5 days after your billing cut off. Your bill cut off is every end of the month.

Your bill cycle starts at the 1st of the month, and ends on the last day of the month.

An email notification will be sent to your verified email address once your billing statement is already available. If you wish to have a printed copy, you may request for one at any Smart Store or download from the myPLDT Smart app.

Sending of your bill’s printed copy is on per request basis. If you wish to have a printed bill, you may request for one at any Smart Store. The printing of your bill is on a per request basis only. We will no longer deliver it to your business or home address.

The email notification will contain your statement summary for the previous billing period. This includes the following:

  • Total amount due for payment
  • Payment due date
  • Previous charges (if applicable)
  • Current charges (including your Plan charge and other charges)

You can conveniently view all your billing statement via the myPLDT Smart app

You can pay your bills online through the myPLDT Smart app, or through our app page You can also pay through our accredited payment centers.

You can pay through the following bill payment channels:

  • Auto-Debit Agreement (ADA)

Your assigned credit limit is twice the amount of your monthly service fee. For example, customers who availed of a Signature Plan S, with a Php 999 monthly service fee, are assigned with a credit limit of Php 1,998. Any registered services billed on top of your monthly service fee, such as Boosters, NETFLIX via Direct Carrier Billing, roaming usage, etc. shall be charged against your available credit limit.

(e.g. Customer only has Php 100 left from his/her credit limit and wants to register to Data Booster 299)

We regret to inform you that you are not allowed to avail of boosters or add-ons when the total price already exceeds your assigned credit limit.

You can conveniently view all your billing statements to check the full details via the myPLDT Smart app. All your previous billing statements can also be viewed inside the app.

If you wish to have a printed bill, you may request for one at any Smart Store. The printing of your bill is on a per request basis only. We will no longer deliver it to your business or home address. You may also download your own copy from the myPLDT Smart app.

Your Plan Charge or Monthly Service Fee (MSF) is your fixed monthly fee based on your Signature Plan subscription. This may be billed partially upon new application, Plan renewal, Plan change, billing cycle change or if you have been reconnected from temporary redirection.

Your pro-rated MSF is the partial MSF covering your activation date until your statement date. This may also be charged when you avail of plan renewal, plan change, billing cycle change or re-connection from temporary disconnection.

DEVICES

Device cash-outs may be paid in full with cash or credit cards. Option to amortize a portion of the full-cash-out across your contract term should also be available.

Devices should be covered by the phone manufacturer’s standard Service Warranty.

For aftersales support for your device, please visit any of the phone manufacturer’s Authorized Service Center.

UPGRADING

Yes, you may switch to a Signature Device Plan even if your device plan is still within contract. Signature Device Plan inclusions should be applicable for this kind of plan change.

Yes, you may switch to a Signature Plan even if your line-only plan is still within contract. Signature Plan inclusions will be applied to your account once you have successfully switched

Yes, you may switch to a Signature Plan when you renew your plan.

Yes, all Signature subscribers are automatically assigned to one billing cycle - from the 1st of the month until end of the month (29, 30 or 31).

No, there is no need to change your physical SIM.

Yes, you may change your MIN to the following range: 0919 to 00 and 0919 to 09.

RECONTRACTING

In order to be eligible, you must:

  • Have an active SMART Postpaid account;
  • Have no outstanding balance;
  • Have an account which is already out-of-contract (or with less than 3-months remaining within contract).

You just have to visit the SMART Store nearest you. Make sure that you have an ACTIVE email address, and do not forget to bring the following:

  • 1 VALID ID; and
  • Financial Documents (if upgrading to a higher Signature Plan)

Yes, you may avail early plan renewal if you have less than 3 months remaining in your contract. Terms and Conditions apply.

Yes, you can upgrade up to two plans higher without the need to submit additional financial documents as long as you have good credit standing at the time of renewal. Terms and Conditions apply.

TERMINATION

Yes, you can. Please take note that standard pre-termination fees apply for both Signature Plans (SIM-Only) and Signature Device Plans.

ROAMING

First, make sure that before leaving the country, you update your account & settle unpaid balance.

Once you’re already out of the country, you will receive a welcome message with a link to Smart’s Data Roaming Manager. Here, you may subscribe to a data roaming package that suit you. Turning on your mobile data abroad without subscribing to a data roaming pack will automatically register you to Roam Surf 550 for your convenience.

Data roaming can be switched on and off through your phone settings.
For iOS, go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Data Roaming (on/off)
For Android, go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Data Roaming (on/off)

Currently, this function is not yet available on the myPLDT Smart App. But don’t fret! It’s easy to monitor your data roaming usage! Just click the "Active" tab in the Data Roaming Manager homepage (roam.smart.com.ph) to view your active subscription along with how much data you have used and the pack’s validity.

If you are roaming overseas, calls forwarded to you will be charged. International call rates shall apply.

DEVICE UNLOCK POLICY

NTC MC No. 01-05-2019 is a memo from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) that mandates Public Telecommunications Entities (PTEs) to unlock mobile phones and devices, subject to implementing rules and regulations.

The account holder or an authorized representative can request to unlock the device they availed with their Postpaid plan if their subscription is already out-of-contract, and all remaining plan and device amortization charges have already been settled.

For Postpaid subscribers that are still within contract, you may choose to end your current subscription and pay the pre-termination fee to have your device unlocked.

For Prepaid subscribers, you may request to unlock the device you availed from SMART as a prepaid kit by providing a valid proof-of-purchase and the device’s IMEI number. The IMEI number is a unique 15-17 digit code that can be located on a sticker on the back of the device or its original box, or by accessing the device’s information through its settings menu.

Yes. The following devices are qualified to be unlocked 24 months after purchase date based on your Official Receipt (OR):

  • Oppo A71 bundled with a Smart LTE SIM at SRP P5,990
  • Samsung Galaxy J2 Core bundled with a Smart LTE SIM at SRP 4,990
  • Starmobile Play Click LTE bundled with a TNT LTE SIM at SRP P2,988
  • Oppo A3s bundled with a Smart LTE SIM at SRP P5,990

Subscribers must provide the device’s IMEI number, an active SMART/TNT/Sun Prepaid mobile number, official receipt, and valid ID for verification.
