Smart Communications Inc. (“SMART”) is launching “Hallyu Hangouts”, a
virtual a meet and greet session with Son Ye Jin on July 16, 2021 and with Hyun Bin on July
31, 2021.
As you participate in the “Hallyu Hangouts” (the “Virtual Event”),
and in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012, we share with you the principles that
govern how your data will be collected, processed, and shared.
Why we collect your personal data
We collect and process your Personal Data (name, mobile number) such that we may send you the
registration link to the event and a unique access code. To join the event, you will be
required to enter your email address and access code via an online registration facility.
Each access code may only be used once. Therefore, for security purposes, please do not
share your unique access code or allow another person to log-in on your behalf.
The Virtual Event includes “Interaction Sidebar Chat” feature where you can send
message within the online platform. If you wish to send a message in the sidebar chat, your
name and message will be visible to other attendes of the event. Your participation during
the online event (e.g. interacting with polls, announcements and messages), will also will
be made visible to other attendees via the Leaderboard sidebar panel.
The Virtual Event also includes a “raffle” feature where you can participate to
win prizes. In the event you win, your name will be displayed in the main screen of the
online platform and may also be announced during or after the virtual event. We will also
ask for your delivery address so that we can deliver the prize you may have won from the
raffle.
We will also collect information about how you participate in the Virtual Event so that we
may analyze its performance and understand how we may be able to continue improving your
experience in our future online events. This information will never be analyzed or profiled
in such a way that identifies you as an individual.
We'd like you to know that we will retain your personal data through out the duration of the
event and will be deleted 90 days after the event.
Why your personal data is shared
We have engaged the professional services of CTV Inc. (“CTV”) to whom we have
outsourced the operations of the Virtual Event. CTV, in turn, has engaged the services of
TicketWorld, who provides the ticketing of access codes for the Virtual Event. CTV and
Ticketworld, may only process your personal data in connection to your participation in the
Virtual Event and for no other purpose.
When your personal data is shared, we ensure that it is done on a confidential basis, through
secure channels, and in compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations. Only
personnel with a need-to-know will have access to your personal data.
Other Parties
Some features of the Virtual Event links to third party websites and applications that are
not covered by this Privacy Notice. We therefore request that you review the privacy
statements of these websites and applications to understand their respective privacy
practices. Please note that SMART is not privy to the data processing activities, if any, in
these websites and applications. SMART is also not privy to the terms and conditions
governing the use of these websites and applications.

To offer you a virtual or online interactive experience as you participate in the
Virtual Event, CTV has engaged the services of “Maestro”, a video
hosting, sharing, and services platform. To know more about Maestro’s personal
information processing activities including what cookies they use for their

How your personal data is protected
The integrity, confidentiality, and security of your personal data is important to us. This
is why we strictly enforce this Privacy Notice within SMART and have implemented technical,
organizational, and physical security measures that are designed to protect your information
from unauthorized or fraudulent access, alteration, disclosure, misuse, and other unlawful
activities. Your personal data is also protected from other natural and human dangers.
We likewise require these security measures from CTV.
On our behalf, CTV shall retain personal data collected from and about you throughout your
participation in the Virtual Event, only until all event records are turned over to SMART,
and no later than 90 days after each event.
Your rights and choices
The Data Privacy Act gives you certain rights to your personal data. Subject to exceptions
under the law, you are entitled to request:

Access to the personal data we process about you;

Rectification of your personal data if it is found to be outdated, inaccurate, or
incomplete;

Erasure of your personal data in cases where it is no longer needed to achieve the
legitimate purpose of its processing;

Restriction of processing of your personal data in limited circumstances;

Portability of your personal data so that you may receive a copy thereof or that we
transmit the same to another company on your behalf.
Depending on the circumstances, such as when we process your personal data based on your
consent, you may also have the right to object to the processing thereof. If you believe
that your data privacy rights have been violated in your participation in the “Hallyu
Hangouts”, we encourage you to contact SMART’s Data Privacy Officer to seek
resolution of your complaint. You also have the right to go directly to the National Privacy
Commission or to make a claim against SMART before a competent court.
