VoLTE or Voice over LTE is a service that allows you to make and receive voice calls via LTE using an LTE-capable phone, unlike the current practice where calls go through 2G or 3G mobile networks.
You will be able to stay online on 4G/LTE network with your data applications, like Waze, online games, etc. even when making or receiving a call.
This means you can simultaneously be in a voice call, while actively using high-speed data for other applications.
VoLTE uses LTE network, while Wi-Fi Calling uses your Wi-Fi network for extended network coverage and enhanced voice & SMS experience.
Smart’s Wi-Fi Calling and VoLTE services are currently available to Smart Signature & Infinity Postpaid subscribers.
