VoLTE or Voice over LTE is a service which lets you make calls through LTE instead of the typical 2G or 3G networks. Using VoLTE will allow you to make and receive high-definition voice quality calls while staying online using your mobile data.
VoLTE is supported by most modern smartphones and only uses your smartphone’s native Call app to make a call so there is no need to download a specific app.
VoLTE service is available to all Smart Signature and Smart Infinity Postpaid, and select Smart Prepaid and TNT subscribers.
Here’s what you need to get started with VoLTE:
How to enable VoLTE on your smartphone
Once you have everything you need to get started with VoLTE, here are the steps to enable it on your smartphone:
Make sure that you have the latest software update for your phone. Software updates can be downloaded through the Settings menu on your smartphone.
After getting the latest update, go to your smartphone Settings and look for Cellular or Mobile Network Options. From there, select Enable Mobile Data (LTE) and VoLTE on your phone.
Go to your phone’s native Call app.

How much is the charge for calling through VoLTE?
Voice calls made with VoLTE will be charged like normal calls. For example, Smart Prepaid subscribers with an active UnliCall promo or Smart Signature subscribers with an UnliCall plan will be able to use VoLTE for their calls without any extra charge.
Will VoLTE work while on International Roaming?
Currently, VoLTE only works when used to make calls within the Philippines.
