Smart, Nokia to share technical expertise with colleges

[28 June 2016] NetworkLabs will provide technical training in the field of wireless technology to teachers of Smart’s partner schools under the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP).

IMG_1220Mobile leader Smart Communications and NetworkLabs, the Philippine research and development arm of Nokia Networks, recently signed a memorandum of cooperation (MOC) on the sharing of technical expertise with various universities and colleges.

NetworkLabs will provide technical training in the field of wireless technology to teachers of Smart’s partner schools under the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP). NetworkLabs will also provide hands-on experience of its various telecommunications equipment.

The MOC is one of Smart’s initiatives under SWEEP, an industry-academic partnership that seeks to improve the level of technology and engineering education in the Philippines.
