PLDT’s wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) continues to support more cooperatives in Cebu through Project Hotline, Smart’s wireless solution that provides additional communication channels to public and private institutions, enabling immediate response to concerns and emergencies.

Paknaanon Multipurpose Cooperative (PAMULCO) in Mandaue City and Lear Employees Multipurpose Cooperative (LEMCO) in Lapu-Lapu City have received Project Hotline kits from Smart. The kits include free smartphones, SIM cards with load allocation up to six months, and hotline banners.

As LEMCO’s HR and Admin manager, Josephine Plariza considers this support very helpful so they can stay connected to their members and staff. “We thank Smart for choosing us to be one of the recipients of Project Hotline. This initiative allows our members to easily reach out to us and share their inquiries and urgent concerns,” she said while adding that this can also contribute to the improvement of their services for their over 5,000 regular members.

“These efforts of extending digital solutions to help develop communities are driven by PLDT and Smart’s core value of malasakit. Through Project Hotline, we hope to provide ease of communication access to cooperatives’ members and potential members in reaching out to their respective offices,” said Nancy Nacua, Senior Manager, Smart Community Solutions and Business Development.
