[22 December 2017] As of 10 a.m. today, the mobile services of PLDT wireless unit Smart Communications (Smart) remain operational in the cities and municipalities affected by Tropical Storm “Vinta.”
These areas include Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao and the Zamboanga Peninsula.
Smart’s engineers and technicians are working round the clock to ensure continuous wireless communications services in these affected areas. No significant damage to Smart’s network infrastructure has been reported so far.
These initiatives for network resilience, disaster preparedness, and rapid response are part of Smart’s #SafePH advocacy.
