Volunteers from Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) and partners help unload thousands of relief goods from PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) for the residents of Doong Island, Bantayan in Cebu, one of the areas hardest hit by Typhoon Yolanda. Several Libreng Tawag and Libreng Charging stations have been set up in various locations to provide residents communications link to the residents even as Smart engineers work round the clock to restore network services in those areas.

As part of its post-disaster response, Smart is supporting HelpPH, a global campaign launched by the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation (PDRF) to help raise funds via text donations for relief and recovery programs of communities affected by super Typhoon Yolanda. To make donations, mobile users in the Philippines can simply text HelpPH to 5353. Donations can be P5, P10, P25, P50, P100, P300, P500, and P1,000. Mobile users outside the Philippines may also donate via SMS. Visit www.help.ph for more information. (Photo by Boboi Costas)
