How to activate your SMART Money?

Option 1: via Key word

a. Type in MONEY and Send it to 343
b. Subscriber will receive a prompt to enter desired W-PIN.
c. Re-enter W-PIN and Press OK.
d. Choose ‘Get Account’ press OK
e. Subscriber will receive a confirmation message with his SMART Money Account.
f. Subscriber will receive a confirmation message that W-PIN has been set and Menu will be
updated.

Option 2: via SMART Money Menu

a. Go to SMART MENU and select SMART MONEY
b. Choose any transaction.
c. Subscriber will receive a prompt to enter desired W-PIN.
d. Re-enter W-PIN and Press OK.
e. Choose ‘Get Account’ press OK
f. Subscriber will receive a confirmation message with his SMART Money Account.
g. Subscriber will receive a confirmation message that W-PIN has been set and Menu will be
updated.

How to get your SMART Money card?

a. Go to the nearest SMART Wireless Center and accomplish a SMART Money Application Form.
b. Attach a photocopy of one (1) valid I.D. (e.g. driver’s license, passport, company ID, student ID,
TIN, SSS) and submit to an authorized SMART personnel.
c. If you choose an instant card (no name card), you may get your card from the wireless center
immediately after application; or
d. If a personalized card is preferred, the SMART Money card will be delivered to your mailing
address within 7 days (for NCR) or 10 days (for provincial).

How to link your SMART Money card to your mobile phone?

Option 1: Keyword based via text
a. Text MONEY 16-digit card # to 343
b. Enter desired W-PIN (6-digits), press OK.
c. Re-enter W-PIN, press OK.
d. Enter your preferred Card Name, press OK
e. Enter your Card-PIN (ATM-PIN), press OK. Card-PIN/ATM-PIN can be the same as your W-PIN.
f. Wait for the text message confirming the transaction.

Option 2: via menu
a. Go to the SMART MENU and select SMART MONEY
b. Choose any transaction.
c. Enter desired W-PIN (6-digits).
d. Re-enter W-PIN, press OK.
e. Choose “Link a Card”, press OK
f. Enter 16-digit card #, press OK
g. Follow steps d to f above.

How to nominate a primary SMART Money account on your mobile phone?

Since you can have up to 2 SMART Money accounts, you can both link them to your phone! However, to be able to enjoy certain SMART Money services, such as Mobile Payment, a primary account is needed. A primary account is the account which you would most likely use for your transactions.

Nominating your primary account:
a. Text <ENROLL>space<CARD>space<16 digit card number> and send to 343 (ex. ENROLL CARD 5299670012341234).
b. You will receive a SMS notification stating that you have set the specified card number to primary.

A. With your Mobile Phone

I. How to check your SMART Money Balance?

a. Go to your SMART MENU select SMART Money.
b. Select Balance, press OK.
c. Select from your list of SMART Money Card Names, then press OK.
d. Enter your W-PIN, press OK.
e. You will receive a text message reflecting your account balance.

II. How to reload a prepaid account?

a. Go to your SMART MENU select SMART Money.
b. Select Reload Prepaid, press OK.
c. Select Buddy/TNT, press OK (Note: Select ‘SMART Bro’, for SMART Bro Prepaid Reload)
d. Choose Others, then press OK.
e. Enter the mobile number of the recipient, and press OK.
f. Once ‘Pay from’ is shown on screen, press OK.
g. Select from your list of SMART Money Accounts, then press OK.
h. Select the Amount of load you would like to send, then press OK.
i. You will receive a confirmation request of your transaction, press OK.
j. Enter your W-PIN, press OK.
k. You will receive a text message of the amount loaded and new airtime balance.

III. How to purchase goods/services using SMART Money?

Via text thru access code 270

a. Just text STORE CODE<space>AMOUNT* and send it to 270.
b. You will receive a text message about your successful purchase transaction and new account balance.

* For amounts of P300 and up, you will be required to enter your W-PIN.

Via SMART Menu

a. Go to your SMART MENU select SMART Money.
b. Select Purchase, press OK.
c. Select MPAY, press OK
d. Enter the STORE CODE of partner merchant, and press OK.
e. Once ‘Pay from’ is shown on the screen, press OK.
f. Select from your list of SMART Money accounts, then press OK.
g. Enter the total Amount that you need to pay, and then press OK.
h. You will receive a confirmation request of your transaction, press OK.
i. Enter your W-PIN, press OK.
j. You will receive a text message about your successful purchase transaction.

IV. How to transfer money from my SMART Money account to another SMART Money account?

a. Go to your SMART MENU select SMART Money.
b. Select Transfer, press OK.
c. Choose Others, then press OK.
d. Enter the 16- digit account number of the recipient, and press OK.
e. Once ‘Transfer from’ is shown on screen, press OK.
f. Select from your list of SMART Money accounts, then press OK.
g. Enter the Amount to be transferred, then press OK. (Maximum transfer amount : Php10,000)
h. You will receive a confirmation request of your transaction, press OK.
i. Enter your W-PIN, press OK.
j. You will receive a text message of the amount transferred and your new account balance.

V. How to pay bills using my SMART Money account?

a. Go to your SMART MENU select SMART Money.
b. Select Pay Bills, press OK.
c. Choose Others, then press OK.
d. Enter the Biller Code of the institution you would like to pay, and press OK.
e. Enter your Bill Account Number, and press OK.
f. Once ‘Pay from’ is shown on screen, press OK.
g. Select from your list of SMART Money accounts, then press OK.
h. Enter the total amount that you will pay, press OK.
i. You will receive a confirmation request of your transaction, press OK.
j. Enter your W-PIN, press OK.
k. You will receive a text message of your successful payment transaction and new account balance.

B. With your SMART Money Card

I. How to purchase goods and services with my SMART Money Card?

SMART Money is accepted in any MasterCard establishment worldwide. The cashier will swipe your SMART Money Card on their POS terminal similar to credit cards. The total amount you just purchased will then be debited from your account. You will be required to sign on the card slip produced by the POS terminal.

SMART Money provides an alternative payment method to cash when making purchases. Unlike credit cards, the funds are immediately debited from your SMART Money account. This allows you to avoid having to carry a lot of cash every time you go out.

You can also use your SMART Money card to avail of goods and services from online merchants.

Here’s how:
a. Fill out the necessary payment details in the merchant site.
b. Before you proceed with your payment or click the ‘finish button’, for security reasons you
must ‘Unlock*’ your SMART Money account using your mobile phone.

* Use your SMART mobile phone to unlock your SMART Money account. To unlock, follow these simple steps:
1. Go to SMART Menu, select SMART Money and press OK.
2. Select ‘Internet Txn’, and press OK.
3. Select ‘Unlock’, and press OK.
4. Select from your list of SMART Money MasterCard accounts that you would like to unlock and then press OK.
5. A flash message will appear on your screen to confirm the SMART Money MasterCard account you wish to unlock for online purchase, press OK
6. You will receive an SMS notification of your successful unlock transaction.

c. Click the Finish button to proceed with your online payment transaction.

Please ensure your SMART Money account is linked to your SMART mobile phone to enable access to the unlocking feature of your account. Lock your account immediately after your purchase.

II. How to access my money via ATM using my SMART Money Card?

You can withdraw cash at any BDO, Expressnet, Bancnet and MegaLink ATMs nationwide or Cirrus ATMs overseas. Please refer to the steps below:
a. Insert your SMART Money Card in the ATM machine
b. Enter your ATM PIN (default SMART Money PIN is 123456)
c. Select ‘WITHDRAWAL/CASH ADVANCE’
d. Select ‘SAVINGS’ at the lower left of your screen.
e. Select/Enter amount you would like to withdraw.
f. You will be asked if you want a printed receipt, kindly select YES, to get receipt
g. You will be shown a confirmation message on the screen, and will be advised to take your SMART Money Card.
h. Get your CASH and RECEIPT.
