SMART lets you enjoy connecting with your loved ones, colleagues and business partners with these GSM services.
1. Text messaging - Send and receive text messages to and from other GSM subscribers here and abroad. You can send text messages to subscribers whose phones might be in use or who are in places not conducive to conversation.
2. Local and international voice calls - Here or abroad, you can make outgoing calls with SMART's nationwidest coverage and most number of overseas telco partners. Every SMART GSM subscriber can make a SMART IDD call.
3. Multi-media messaging (MMS) service - Send and receive messages that combine text, sound and colored picture greetings
4. Voice Text - Send a 30-second voice message as a text attachment. Let your family and friends hear your recorded voice for a price cheaper than voice call.
5. WAP - Get quick access to the information you need from the Internet thru a single mobile gateway. SMART's wap service lets you download news, send and receive e-mails, and chatreal-time.
6. Mobile data and fax - Make wireless data and fax calls over the SMART Gold GSM network. With this feature, you can send and receive fax messages, connect to and surf the Internet, send and receive company mail, and do other data applications.
7. Voice E-mail - A service that allows a subscriber to send a "talking" email from any phone to any email account. The service works by associating a specific email address to a voicetxt number. By calling a voicetxt number and speaking a message, the service will deliver an audio email attachment to an email address. The email recipient only has to open the attachment to hear the message.
8. Voice Mail - Receive voice messages from callers when your cellphone is: Off, Busy, Outside the Coverage Area, or Unanswerable by 5 rings. A text message will alert subscribers of every new voice message. It also allows subscribers to automatically return the call to their caller, during or after the message is played.
9. Caller Display - Displays the phone number of your caller on the screen of your phone.
10. Teleconferencing - Used in conjunction with Call Waiting to allow simultaneous 6-way (subscriber + five persons) conversation.
11. Emergency Calls - Gives you fast access to emergency services such as hospitals / medical assistance, police stations, and fire departments by dialing a single number on your mobile phone.
12. Call waiting/call hold - Allows you to keep one caller on the line ("on hold") while you make or take a second call, without losing the first call.
13. Call Transfer - Used in conjuction with Call Waiting / Call Hold, this service allows you to transfer calls to a third party, then drop out of the call after the transfer . Transfer may be announced or unannounced. Feature is phone dependent.
14. Call forwarding - Diverts all incoming calls to another number, whether mobile or landline. This works for all calls to your phone, if your phone is busy, or when you don't want to screen your calls.
15. Call barring - Protects yourself from overseas call charges by preventing overseas calls from being made on your cellphone. Activation is automatically available through handset.
