Smart bares best-value ‘tri-net’ prepaid offer
[05 March 2012] Prepaid subscribers of wireless leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) can now maximize the value of a hundred pesos’ worth of prepaid load, by using longer-validity bucket offers that provide calls, SMS, and mobile Internet.
Smart has launched a new set of ‘combo’ bucket offers called ‘Tri-net’ -- to offer better value to subscribers, capitalize on the network’s superior coverage and capacity and benefit from its partnership with Sun Cellular, a company official said.
Exclusively available to Smart prepaid subscribers, the Tri-net bundles allow users to call any Smart, Talk ‘N Text, or Sun number – hence, tri-net – and send SMS to all networks, and experience the convenience of mobile Internet.
The ‘Tri-net 30’ bundle offers 50 call minutes or only 60 centavos per minute, 100 SMS to all networks, and 5MB worth of mobile Internet, all valid for a day, for only P30.
Another variant, ‘Tri-net 100’, offers more value for money as it provides 120 call minutes, 500 SMS to all networks, and 70MB worth of mobile Internet, all valid for 7 days, for only P100.
According to Smart Mobile Marketing Head Guido Zaballero, Tri-net is unmatched in the Philippines because it gives subscribers the flexibility to connect and keep in touch with the most number of people.
“Nobody has ever done this before because there has never been a network as big as ours. Tri-net is the new on-net,” said Zaballero.
“Combine this with Smart’s superior nationwide cellular network coverage, and we have a service that simply cannot be matched,” he added.
Zaballero refers to the P67.1 billion worth of investments made by Smart and its parent company Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) for massive network transformation initiatives.
The upgrades mean that the network is able to handle and accommodate higher volumes of calls, text messages, and data traffic, thus improving the experience for customers.
“We’re confident that our users will continue to see the benefits of being on Smart, including superior call quality, nationwide coverage, and no downtime,” added Zaballero.
To avail of Tri-net 30, subscribers must register to the package by sending Text TRINET30 to 2477. To avail of Tri-net 100, users just need to send TRINET100 to 2477.
Once registered, users can call any Smart, Talk ‘N Text, or Sun number by calling *2477 plus the 11-digit mobile number, e.g., *247709181234567.
These combos will be available until April 2, 2012.
