Instant payment credits for SMART, Smart Bro subscribers

[February 22, 2010, Manila] - Subscribers of leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART) and subsidiary Smart Broadband, Inc. (SBI) may now enjoy instant bills payment processing in 255 select Bayad Center branches.
This service is the first “real-time” or instant payment crediting system in the local telecommunications industry. With instant payment credit, SMART and Smart Bro subscribers who go to select Bayad Center branches to pay their bills will experience faster and more convenient services.
“SMART and Smart Bro subscribers will enjoy real-time crediting of payments instead of waiting until the next business day to have their payments posted in their accounts. Also, service restrictions pending payments will be promptly lifted upon sufficient payment of bills. This service offers convenience to the Subscribers as the need to call hotline to report for payment is no longer necessary,” said Customer Service Assurance Group head Rolando G. Peña.
“We will roll out the service in phases to include more Bayad Center branches nationwide. SMART and SMART Bro subscribers may also have the convenience of paying their other utility bills in our branches,” said CIS Bayad Center, Inc. (CBCI) president and CEO Manny L. Tuason.
Bills payments may be done through cash and checks. SMART has 40 million subscribers as of end- 2009. SBI has about 1 million Smart Bro subscribers.
As the country’s trailblazer and leader in bills payment collection, Bayad Center accepts payments for bills by over 160 telecommunications, Internet, electric and water utilities, insurance, and cable TV brands. Payments for SSS, NSO Certificates, and National Home Mortgage loan may also be coursed through Bayad Center branches.
