Smart donates desktop computer to Bolongtohan School
Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART) turned over a refurbished desktop
computer to Bolongtohan Elementary School in Dulag, Leyte during the
culminating program of the Read-to-be-Smart Summer Storytelling
program. School bags made from recycled tarpaulin by the residents of

were also distributed among the kids who participated in the summer
activity. Some 60 children from Grades 1 to 6 of the said school
participated in the storytelling program, which ran for five Saturdays
starting early April. The summer storytelling activity is part of
Read-to-be-Smart, an education initiative under SMART’s corporate
social responsibility and community service program Kabalikat.
Read-to-be-Smart was also conducted in other parts of the country,
including Manila, Ozamis, General Santos, Davao, Bukidnon, Sarangani
