Smart Bro Plug-it for PBSP
Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART) recently donated 22 Smart Bro
prepaid plug-it units to the Philippine Business for Social Progress
(PBSP). The donation was formalized in a turnover between SMART
Public Affairs Group Head Ramon R. Isberto and PBSP Executive Director
Gil T. Salazar (second and third from right). SMART and PBSP are
partners in the leading wireless services provider’s vision of
providing ‘Internet for All’, starting with the highly mobile PBSP
officers and staff working in various poverty alleviation programs
nationwide. Under the partnership, SMART and PBSP will work
together in making the Internet accessible to every Filipino with the
intention of uplifting their lives. Since 2004, SMART has been
working with the PBSP to provide Internet access, content and training
to public schools nationwide via the Smart Schools Program (SSP).
To date, over 240 SSP partner schools in the country are enjoying the
benefits of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in
education. Also in photo are (right) SMART Community
