SSP Website of the Month (November): Lake Sebu NHS; Community Choice Awardee: Coron School of Fisheries

With its modern and well-organized web page layout, the Lake Sebu National High School (NHS) Website outshone all the nominated websites for last month’s SSP Website Competition and bagged the “Website of the Month (November)” Award.

Hosted by SSP, the Lake Sebu NHS official website was created and developed through the joint efforts the school webmasters and faculty of Notre Dame of Marbel University, a partner school of the Smart Wireless Engineering Education Program (SWEEP). The Lake Sebu NHS web team is led by Gerardo Bagorio Jr., ICT coordinator of Lake Sebu NHS.

The Lake Sebu NHS website features the school’s history, mission and vision and also contains information on school programs, student organizations, and school activities.

The SSP “Website of the Month” Competition is SSP website’s rewards and recognition program for the SSP-hosted websites. Nominated websites are evaluated based on the content, website design, involvement of teachers and students, and website maintenance.

A “Community Choice Award” is also given to the nominee with the most number of votes earned in the Smart Schools Online Poll. The Coron School of Fisheries website earned a total of 170 votes in the online poll conducted from October 29 to November 28. Aurora National Science High School website got 9 votes; Lake Sebu National High School website, 4; Olongapo City National High School website, 33; and Tagbilaran City Science High School website, 14.

Congratulations to Lake Sebu NHS, Coron School of Fisheries, and to all the nominees for a job well done!
