WAP Connect: A SMART way to access customer services
[May 6, 2008/MANILA] - Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART) is giving prepaid subscribers another quick and convenient way to access selected aftersales services through their mobile phones.
Through WAP Connect, Smart Buddy and Talk ‘N Text subscribers can now log on to the wap portal or mobile Internet for transactions that do not require a human interface like getting their PUK (pin unlocking key) Code so that they can unlock their PIN-blocked cell phones and enjoy using Smart services again. They can also check whether their call and text cards are active, inactive or consumed.
Service activations are also available via WAP Connect. Using their MMS- or GPRs- or 3G-capable phones, subscribers can simply log on to the SMART wap site at wap.smart.com.ph and choose the Customer Care tab in the menu to access. Subscribers can activate or deactivate their international roaming feature, activate their voicemail feature and reactivate their SMS through the service.
“WAP Connect is a win-win customer service solution. By giving the subscriber direct access to services, we give them control over the transaction, allowing them to resolve concerns themselves at their own time and convenience. At the same time, we free up our customer care officers to spend more time on concerns that really need their attention,” said Joy Sanchez, head of SMART’s Customer Care.
WAP Connect is the latest addition to the Smart Connect suite of customer service channels. Smart Connect is the company’s customer care program that gives subscribers access to an automated multi-access link through Smart SIM Cards, the enhanced Customer Care hotline, Zone Connect machines, and through the World Wide Web. @
