SMART Money GRAND RAFFLE PROMO

Ladies of luck: SMART Money raffle winners receive the good news

Three subscribers of leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (SMART) recently received some very good news. Ve Embang of Bacolod City, Amelita Armenta of Tabaco City in Albay, and Lovella Hugo of Iligan City are the lucky winners of the SMART Money Grand Raffle draw, a promo joined by thousands of new SMART Money cardholders from all over the country.

SMART Money is the country’s first and only reloadable payment card linked to a SMART mobile phone. It combines the strength of SMART’s mobile services and MasterCard Worldwide’s wide merchant acceptance network, providing subscribers a safer, simpler, and more convenient electronic facility for their various financial transactions.

Maria Ve Embang, a 23-year old licensed nurse from Bacolod City, was initially skeptical when she first heard that she had won the grand prize in the SMART Money raffle, a brand new 2008 Mitsubishi Fuzion GLX. “I had never been lucky in any raffle draw, until now,” said Embang. She had gotten her SMART Money account back in June 2008, after a friend shared that it could be used to pay for monthly bills, including her Internet connection subscription at home and the groceries she buys on credit from a city mall. “Now, I save time because I don’t need to fall in line when paying my bills, all I do is text my message,” added Embang.

Amelita Armenta, a 33-year old single mother of two from Tabaco City, Albay, just wanted to try her luck when she joined the raffle after applying for her SMART Money account in July 2008. Since receiving her card, she has been using it for reloading her children’s mobile phone credits, for shopping, and for money transfer. “The comforts of having SMART Money can be experienced anytime and anywhere, especially in the case of busy moms like me,” said Armenta, who will be receiving an all-expenses paid trip for four to Hong Kong. “This trip will allow me to spend time with my kids and will be a wonderful chance for us to bond,” added Armenta.

Lovella Hugo, a 35-year old physician from Iligan City, had been using her husband’s SMART Money account for the last three years, until she applied for her own account in July 2008. “My husband works in Manila, and his SMART Money account has been very useful to us for cash remittance. Since I’ve had my own SMART Money, transferring amounts between our accounts has been such a breeze,” shared Hugo. Told that she has won a huge cash amount from the SMART Money raffle, Hugo now plans to go on a month-long vacation, surprise her husband with a visit to Manila, and reward herself with a laptop.

With news this good, all three ladies are one in saying that they have been blessed not just with the prizes they received, but also with an opportunity to share with their families the good fortune. “I expect my family and friends to get their own SMART Money account after this, knowing it’s not only secure and convenient to use, but also rewarding,” ended Embang.
